Your Big Day – 3 Things not too forget that we could help with

Whalton Manor 2

Most people spend a vast amount of time booking bands/DJ’s for their big day but too many times forget about the time when the band isn’t playing. You’re the first to arrive at the drinks reception, you walk in, get a glass of champagne and stand in a silent room, the ambience is as cold as the fizz. As nice as it would be to have a string quartet play you in, it is a lot cheaper to get a simple PA system and Ipod dock, which will play music up until the band arrives. Always leave this in the hands of one of the venue staff as undoubtedly the groomsman will be held up in arriving!

This applies mainly to church hall style weddings where the main room lighting options are on or off. In the day time this isn’t a problem but as it gets into evening time the room will lack atmosphere, and the party will fizzle out. LED uplighters are a cheap an easy way to upwash colour around the room and festoon lighting adds intimacy and romance.

The Bar

This does not have to be a tressle table with drinks on it, take some time to think where it would be best situated. It is always best to be in the main room next to the action not tucked away in a side room and why not make it a focal point? We can provide LED bars (to fit with you colour scheme or colour changing for later on!), horseshoe shaped bars, mirrored bars, or if you’re looking for something special why not a circular bar in the middle of the room. The options are endless as well as the drinks offerings that can be served, Pimms, cocktails, champagne fountains, take some time and plan this with your bar provider.
